Our goal is to establish SilentComedians.com as a central location for silent comedy enthusiasts. Feeling frustrated with the freewheeling newsgroups, it was decided to do something for fans.

Looking at alt.movies.silent and alt.movies.chaplin, we felt there was no direction, it was a hodgepodge of information that went everywhere. We wanted concise talk about our favorite silent comedians.

In this initial site, we have forums for the major name comedians. We also have user blogs to discuss silent comedians/comedy, or anything else you'd like.
